LGBT social groups and events are a great way to connect with other LGBT people, in a relaxed and informal way.

All of our social groups are strictly over 18's only, for under 18's please contact ShOUT! LGBT+ Youth Project at shout@youthworkgalway.ie.
One of our most attended and longest running social groups is Saturday Drop-In. This is a casual social space for LGBT+ people, people who are questioning and allies. It runs every Saturday 2-4pm either online, or in-person at Westside Resource Centre. You don't have to attend for the full time, people are free to 'drop-in' for as long or as short a time as they want. Come along for chats, a cuppa and a few biscuits. Queer & Crafty is an arts and crafts based LGBT+ social group. This group currently meets every second Thursday evening 7-9pm at Westside Resource Centre. You can bring your own supplies and project to work on, or you can use any of the many supplies that are provided. From time to time the group with have a specific workshop, such as lino printing, collaging, canvas painting etc.

Queer Games Night is a board and video gaming LGBT+ group which meets monthly at Westside Resource Centre, typically on the last Monday of each month at 7-9pm. It's a casual group where people come and play a mix of games, have a chat and a cuppa.

This Parents Support Group is in collaboration with Youth Work Ireland Galway and runs monthly. This is a safe space for parents/guardians of LGBTQ+ young people to meet in a non-judgmental environment, have discussions, share experiences, and get support.
